No Life / Moonfire bundle (vinyl + CD)
Record/Vinyl + Digital Album
No Life is A.R Pinewood’s sensational debut album on 12" vinyl. 10 expertly engineered slices of country-pop perfection guaranteed to put a smile on your face, a tear in your eye and a spur in your heel. From the emotional pangs of ‘I’m Okay’ to the guitar twangs of ‘Hyperbolic’, No Life is an album you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Loneliness, true love, social media unease, paranormal activity and small business decay are all processed via the Pinewood prism, lassoed and bound-up in unforgettable golden melodies. Yet another classic release from Lost Map Records. Batteries not included.
'Moonfire' is released as a limited edition (of 100) hand-stamped CD-R with 20 page riso-printed zine on August 6th 2021. The accompanying zine contains the album lyrics, as well as a love-letter penned by A.R. Pinewood to his earthling sweetheart, Eva (it also contains her response). A collective effort, the zine features illustrations and design from Faith Eliott (of Glasgow’s OK Pal Records), and a contribution from Rose McConnachie of Kid Canaveral.
Purchase a digital download of the No Life album. Moonfire CD and zine will be sent out on or around the release date of 6th August.

I only picked up on Meursault recently through their brilliant album “I Will Kill Again”. Investigating their back catalogue has been an absolute pleasure. There something about Neil’s outlook and slightly off kilter way of putting songs together that is endlessly compelling. This is illustrated on the track “Simple is Good” with great lyrics “First there was nothing then there was light. Still there was nothing but now we could see it .....” underpinned by appropriately unsettling keyboards. Meursault and Neil Pennycook are national treasures! markrstirling
