about

‘Staring at Mountains’ is released on Olive Grove Records on 14th January 2022 and showcases Adam’s distinctive songwriting at its most delicate, stripped-back and sincere.

The majority of the album was recorded in the atmospheric settings of Delgatie Castle and Todhead Lighthouse in Aberdeenshire and lyrics take a great deal of inspiration from the Scottish landscape, with song titles transporting the listener on a journey from the Cairngorm mountains to Sanna beach on the west coast.

Adam’s folk music influences shine through on this album which features stunning violin accompaniment from Pedro Cameron (Man of the Minch) and vocal harmonies from Jenny Sturgeon.

Bespoke artwork has been created by illustrator Brian McHenry, depicting the locations and themes of the album.
